Doubt me, then watch me.

To be honest, I cannot believe how fast this summer has went by! It's almost the start of a new school year, and my regestration is on August 29th. School starts on September 7th, and I must say, i'm pretty excited. I really hope I get a good schedule this year and have classes with at least some people I'm friends with.
I've actually bough quiet a few things in these past few weeks, so I though i'd share with you all what I've bought!

I've been lusting a leather jacket for an incredibly long time. Instead of getting a real one, though, I settled for this faux leather jacket! It's exactly what I was looking for.
I also picked up this Nicole by OPI Nailpolish. Although I'm not completely sure about the name of the colour, it might be "Me + Blue". I really love this colour, it's got the perfect amount of shimmer, and it's actually really vibrant. Not to mention, it lasts an incredibly long time.
Due to my incredibly frizzy hair, I'd been in desperate need of hairbands for the last couple of months. Now, I have plain ones in neutral colours (white, black, grey), and adorable braided ones in silver, bronze, and light brown! The hairclips have a strong grip and are also very cute!
You see what my mom does to me? I'm  trying to control myself & make them last, though!
I'm starting to become a little obsessed with nail polish and my nails in general. My mother bought me this Rimmel London nail varnish in "Pulsating." On the website it looks like a deep purple, but on nails it looks like a bright and shimmery hot pink. I love it.
This was from my best friend and I's trip to a theme park a couple days ago, and this is my first Starbucks drink, ever. I got the caramel frap, since to me anything caramel is bound to be good! It was delicious, of course, and even though it's more on the expensive side, I'll definately be buying it again!
Last but not least, here's a picture of my new foundation-- L'Oreal's True Match powder in nude Beige. I don't even see the need for my concealer anymore, this is much lighter and makes my skin look solid and nice.

I hope everybody's been enjoying the last few weeks of the August!

summer fever!

Ahh, the last few weeks of summer are fast approaching. I'm very excited for classes to start up again to be honest, I love learning and I've decided to really care about academics and my future in general. I plan to pay attention in class, take part in discussions, do my best, study, not procrastinate, join lots of after school activities & not be afraid to try out for teams/clubs, and do lots of volunteer work. Also, I'm excited to do something new and see more people and life around myself.
Might I add my healthy lifestyle is on a temporary hold, until I finish all of these. I mean, come on, they're too good to resist!
I'm wearing this blush more and more, it looks wonderful on my skintone & it's a gorgeous, light summer shade. Plus it's MAC, and as far as my experiences with the brand, all their products are amazing and stay on for very long. Lately I've also painted my nails black for the concert I attended, and I'm loving how they look. Totally not summery, but they've got a chic, i-do-what-I-want vibe to them, and they stand out!
This is what boredom does to me. I was just sitting in my living room and though this looked cool, so out comes the camera! The colours aren't even altered, it's just "sharpened" once.
Clinique "Sunshine", MAC Monogram Lipgloss (I don't know the shade), Estee Lauder Shimmer "Paraline pradise"
(Clinique, Mac, Estee Lauder) I'll be honest, i'm not much of a lip product girl. However I'm loving coral, sparkly and neutral coloured glosses, as well as pale pink, coral, magenta, and deep red-ish brown lip sticks.

The Clinique gloss is a little sticky but I love the neutral yet pretty colour with the slightest bit of shimmer. You do have to make sure you don't put too much on! It for long but the brush is a little hard to use, I always feel like I've got too much on it.
The MAC lip gloss is very shimmery, it's perfect for a date or out with girls look. I'm in love with the colour, it's a bit darker then the rest with gold flecks of glitter. The brush is also amazing, it's very soft and easy to apply with. It is very long lasting.
Last is the Estee Lauder, the colour is soft and not as sparkly as the other two. It's perfect for a natural look, and is the lightest of the three. One coat is what I usually use, and it last an average amount of time for me!

I hope everybody's been having a great week. :)

relaxation at it's best

Today's simple outfit! All I did was go grocery shopping and I'm not leaving my house other then that, so today is full of comfort & relaxation. Just a thin old t-shirt that's perfect for hot summer days, and a pair of very old cheap jean shorts from Forever21 along with a studded brown leather belt.
Also a vintage bracelet with fake pearls and beads!
I also went grocery shopping with my mom, and she convinced me to buy these chocolate bars. I mean, aren't parents supposeed to encourage your "healthy lifestyle" choice by buying organics and fat-free foods? Hahha, instead mommy begs me to buy chocolate bars! I'm only taking the mars bar.. Self control, Ksenia, self control!
But hey, I'm not all unhealthy. I got myself sweet peas to munch on as a snack and lemon iced tea (which I know isn't exactly healthy but it's better then pop..i think) and bagels for mornings. Maybe I'm not the healthiest person out there, but I'm starting to really work on my food intake & excercise. I definitely want to get fit & healthy so I'm on the way toward it! :)

Hello to a new purse & a goodbye to my grandparents

The simple white t-shirt I was wearing today, and the new bag I got! The shirt is a plain white burnout t-shirt, but it's a great fit & comfortable. Perfect for days when dressing up isn't needed or wanted, and is overall a great basic.

I've been looking for a bag like this for so long-- a small, brown cross-body bag. It was on sale & also 50% off, which is a great deal!

It's very small, but it's perfect for days when I just want my phone & wallet on me and nothing else. I love it since it's light and easy to carry instead of all the other big bags I own.

We visited the mall today for only about two hours, and I spotted a great leather jacket. It was black leather, had studs on the chest area, a hood,  and also had small zippers on the arms. It was very adorable and I fell in love with it. Sadly though, the lady told us it was $199 on sale, but it turned out it was $299 actually. I'm definitely not willing to ask my parents for that much money to spend on a fall/spring jacket. I was pretty sad since I've been lusting a jacket like that for too long.

My grandparents also went back to my home country in Europe today, after a two month visit. This was their first time in Canada! Their plane left about an hour or so ago. We're "flight tracking" their plane and they'll arrive at around 9 am Canadian time, so we're waiting for them to call when they're arrived! I'm going to miss them, two months of visiting does not compare to 3 years of not seeing them, especially since they were like my second parents since birth. I wish them a safe & easy flight!

Once again, A fresh start!

I have, once again, decided to re-start my blogspot. I know, I've said it before, numerous times, but in all honesty, I never got fully around to it. But as of now, I've got a new layout, a new username, and new posts laying ahead!
